Last Saturday, I got to visit Knead Café & Pâtisserie in Pullman for their one year anniversary. Knead is a special little spot.
If you haven’t been, it’s located on the corner of the University Crossing apartment building. Which, by the way, is one of the coolest developments in town. I’m looking forward to all those retail spots on the bottom floor being full eventually.
Knead brings something unique to the coffee scene in Pullman. Sure, it’s got great design. The vibes are immaculate. It’s got a great location close to student housing. But most importantly, it has GREAT coffee. Dare I say, the best in the Palouse.
Listen. I’m no coffee elitist. I’ll drink anything. Most of the time at home, I’m drinking whatever Costco had on sale. But, there is something to a good Ethiopian light roast. Especially when you take your coffee black.
So, thank you, Knead, for bringing quality coffee to Pullman for the last year. Oh, and did I mention the baked goods are incredible? The cinnamon buns are a personal favorite.
On Saturday at their one year anniversary I got to meet Grant and Tyler, two of the three owners at Knead. The other owner is Regina from Regina’s Baked Goods. She also supplies the Breakfast Club in Moscow with all their baked goodies. I hope to sit down with the trio at some point and hear more of their story. Grant helped found Kamiak Coffee over in Moscow Kamiak now supplies the coffee for Knead. That’s why it’s so good. These guys know their coffee.
Check them out here on Instagram, and if you haven’t been to Knead yet, don’t wait.
A Cougar Football weekend is the perfect opportunity.
The Battle of the Palouse is BACK!
Vandals vs. Cougs. Who is going to take the victory? Both programs have new coaches this year and from what I’ve heard, there’s a lot of excitement and confidence brewing in both locker rooms. How special that our hometown teams get to kick off the season right here in the Palouse?
All the details:
For the Vandals:
4-6:30 p.m.: Vandal Tailgate at WSU, hosted by UI Alumni Relations (Located at Ensminger Pavilion - 455 Lincoln Dr. Pullman, Wash. 99163)
7:10 p.m.: Kickoff on The CW (Rick Allen, Ryan Leaf, Nigel Burton)
For the Cougs:
WSU has revamped football weekend with all kinds of new bonuses and experiences for the whole family. Find out more HERE.
Come on out to Gesa Stadium in Pullman Saturday, August 30th for a 7pm Kickoff or watch at home on The CW.
